“And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.”
— Genesis 3:20
The first woman, created by God from Adam's rib. Eve's story encompasses the beauty of creation, the complexity of temptation, and the promise of redemption through her offspring.
Her Story
Eve was the first woman, formed by God from Adam's side to be his companion and partner. She lived in the Garden of Eden, walking in perfect fellowship with God. When the serpent tempted her with the fruit of the tree of knowledge, she ate and gave some to Adam. Though this brought sin into the world, God promised that her offspring would one day crush the serpent's head — the first glimpse of the coming Messiah. Eve became the mother of Cain, Abel, Seth, and other children, earning her name which means 'life' or 'living.' Her story reminds us that even in our deepest failures, God's grace and redemptive plan remain.
