Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14

A young Jewish woman who became queen of Persia and risked her life to save her people from genocide — a story of courage, faith, and divine timing.

Her Story

Esther, a Jewish orphan raised by her cousin Mordecai, was chosen to be queen of Persia for her beauty and grace. When the king's advisor Haman plotted to exterminate all the Jews in the empire, Mordecai urged Esther to intervene with the famous words: 'Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?' Esther knew that approaching the king uninvited could mean death. She asked the Jewish community to fast for three days, then declared, 'I will go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.' Her courage and strategic wisdom exposed Haman's plot, saved her people, and turned mourning into celebration — the origin of the feast of Purim.
